the three MOST honest minutes in television history. EVER.

I just watched the first episode of The Newsroom (HBO), and I was pretty darn impressed. The character development and such are interesting and highly developed from the start, and their purpose is very realistic and truthful—an in your face to modern news networks today.

This particular segment from the first few minutes of the premiere are so raw and perfect—it must’ve been a risk for HBO to have something that could be considered “anti-America” on one of their new shows but it was a risk well taken, and words well said.

This has been the most awesomest day ever. To recap, I took my license test this morning and passed, got my graduation gift (a plane ticket to Taiwan!), then proceeded to graduation. Graduation was really surreal… it didn’t feel like it was really happening to me at that moment yet (Salutatorian woot woot!). After the hectic picture taking after the graduation ceremony, we headed to eat dinner at a restaurant with horrendous service where I almost went crazy, but was nonetheless great being surrounded with friends and family.
Then we come to grad night. It was nothing short of simple amazing-ness. Spending time with mah greatest buds ever was fun beyond reason, and I managed to somehow pull my first all-nighter ever dancing and runnin’ around the night away. The dance floor, carnival games, huge slide, and raffle/prizes (I won a gift card!) were all really fun. At five in the morn when they started pushing us out, we headed to Denny’s to grab a bite of breakfast.
And so now I sit here, trying to take in on just how amazing yesterday/this morning was. Once-in-a-lifetime, to be sure, and it was so worth it. Time to shower up and head to a meeting at work, and despite the fact that I haven’t actually slept in twenty four+ hours, I’m just gonna push on through the rest of this day.
Cheers, Arcadia High Class of 2012, it’s been an amazing ride.

Photographs and Memories

'Cause I have photographs and memories / Of the times / When you weren't on my mind / And I was alone / And I have poetry and drawings / Of my life when you weren't on my side / And I didn't know
