Cooked with my mom today! Made stuff up as we went. The bruschetta was pretty typical, just added some cheese to it. After making it I realized that we probably forgot to put salt and pepper. Whoops. Then the stuffed portobello mushrooms were filled with a crab cake mix, but for me the portobellas were too overpowering, I couldn’t taste the crab or the mozzarella we put on top. The pasta, I think was a bit of a mess. The taste was pretty decent, but it was lacking something. I wish we had some sort of heavy cream, the sauce was way too watery. The basil helped a bit though, and the sausage was great. I think if we had let the onions sauté a bit longer it would have actually contributed more to the overall flavor. Note to self: Don’t bother using milk anymore. 

Now I’m craving more of that bruschetta.
